A cluster of popular classic themes now document how to leave. That is rarer than a changelog that says “improved performance.”

Several classic theme shops published migration guides that name the menus that will break, the widgets that will not come along, and the child-theme CSS you should delete.
This is customer service. It is also an admission that the classic era is in maintenance, not renaissance.
If your theme still has no migration path, you are asking agencies to invent one on a Saturday.
