The Hosting and Themes teams published their 2026 representatives this week. These are not ceremonial titles. Hosting reps influence PHP compatibility messaging and the conversation around server requirements. Themes reps sit at the intersection of the directory, block theme guidance, and accessibility-ready review.
A handful of familiar names continue. A handful of new ones arrive from agencies and hosts that have been quietly doing the work in Slack. That mix is healthy. It is also a reminder that WordPress governance still runs on people who show up when the agenda is boring.
If you ship products into those ecosystems, now is a good time to read the announcement posts and introduce yourself before you need a ruling. The representatives are listed on the Make blogs, with office hours attached.
