WordCamp US is testing a shorter Contributor Day with a hard stop and a demo. Mentors pick tickets in advance. Tables are labeled by skill, not by vibe.
Purists will say contribution cannot be timed. They are right about the long work. They are wrong about the first hour.
If the experiment works, expect other flagship camps to steal it without crediting anyone. That is also the WordPress way.
